Spotted by members on NeoGAF, Konami uploaded the latest Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain box art to their website yesterday, and it removed both “A Hideo Kojima Game” and the Kojima Productions logo.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, with Konami previously removing the “A Hideo Kojima game” tagline and Kojima Productions logo from Metal Gear games on the series’ website, as well as on the Silent Hills website.

Over the weekend, the Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake tweeted, “Kojima Productions was forced to disband, but it appears that the work that the team has been putting their utmost effort into is nearly complete.”

The Phantom Pain launches on September 1 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Inside the Day One Edition you’ll receive a physical map + DLC content which includes: Adam-ska Special Handgun, Personal Ballistic Shield (Silver), Wetland Cardboard box, Fatigues outfit (Blue Urban Snake Costume), and Metal Gear Online XP boost.
