Already available on PC, mobile, and Xbox, Goat Simulator from Coffee Stain Studios is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 11 in North America and Europe, thanks to a collaboration with Double Eleven.
Calling it “Goat Simulation on the bleeting edge of technology,” Goat Simulator allows you to fly via jetpack, hang glider, or wrapping your tongue around a helicopter; blow stuff up and walk away; headbutt stuff; and do cool tricks in mid-air. If you want other people to join in on the “Goaty goodness,” the game allows two-player local co-op on PS3 and four-player local co-op on PS4.
The PlayStation versions of Goat Simulator will also see the debut of GoatVR:
We’ve been working on GoatVR for some time, and we’re pleased to debut it in the PlayStation editions of Goat Simulator. GoatVR is the most authentic “simulated GoatVR experience” that doesn’t require a helmet or anything. Although it’s not quite ready yet we felt it better to stay ahead of the crowd and let it out into the wild.
We still need to do that part where it connects to an actual headset but for now you can enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it. We’ve also added a score multiplier to help offset the concerns we’ve had from a very few number of Beta testers that felt it was somewhat difficult to “see where you are going.”
Double Eleven didn’t say if Goat Simulator would include cross-buy or if it’s coming to PlayStation Vita down the road.
