A simultaneous worldwide release of Street Fighter V will be happening in the spring of 2016 on PlayStation 4 and PC, Capcom Producers Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano revealed.
Speaking at a video game convention in Hong Kong, the pair announced that the fighting game will hit all regions of the world at the same time, and “no region will be late.” This is slightly unusual, since generally North America, Asia, and Europe all have different release dates for games.
Ayano: We will have a simultaneous [Street Fighter 5] release all across the world. No region will be late, and everyone will be able to play at the same time.
Ono: This is just a small expression of our gratitude to all of the people here in Hong Kong who’ve been supporting Street Fighter for so long.
Hopefully, the massive release won’t put too much stress on the game’s servers, which is an issue that numerous titles, including Rocket League and The Elder Scrolls Online, have had to go through recently.
