Bungie Continues Crackdown on Destiny Cheaters, Shows off The Taken King’s Dreadnaught

In its latest weekly update, Bungie’s Community Manager David “Deej” Dague has reiterated that the developer is “committed to protecting Destiny against cheaters” and urged fans to play fair. While he didn’t go into specifics, Deej mentioned that Bungie’s Security Response Team took action against the “worst offenders” by restricting their access to the Crucible. 

We started with a look at the most notorious cheaters that had been reported by other players. After a cross-reference against our own player-data, we gave the Banhammer a mighty swing. Contained in its blast radius were hundreds of people who have manipulated network traffic. If you don’t know what that means, we love you. Never change.

Don’t cheat, Guardians.

Conceptually, we’ve dreamed of facing the Hive on their own ground for a long time. With the development of Destiny: The Taken King, we’ve had the chance to fully realize the Dreadnaught.

The Taken King is set to release in September.
