At gamescom 2015 today, Konami released a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that “gives a full overview of the ground-breaking game, and shows key aspects of the gameplay and its varied characters and scenarios.”
Here’s what’s written in the trailer:
It’s the end of an era. Peace came with a price. But some wars don’t end until someone is dead.
Explore an open world and uncover the truth. This is not about justice. This is about revenge.
The legend lives.
A little later today, Konami will show off a gameplay video of all-new footage related to the Mother Base aspect of The Phantom Pain:
The specially-created video will detail building options and unique customization elements. The video will also explain the game’s multi-player FOB (Forward Operating Base) feature, wherein users can establish additional bases around the globe to manage captured resources – and demonstrate for the first time – how users can infiltrate other players’ FOB bases to steal resources as well.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on September 1 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. As was recently announced, Metal Gear Online inside the game won’t go live until October 6 on consoles.
