Hideo Kojima recently took to Twitter to talk about blood and revenge in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Kojima explained that blood in The Phantom Pain will permanently stay on your character, unless, that is, it is raining out or the character goes to Mother Base to take a shower.

He then mentioned that the amount on blood on a character is dependent on how serious of an injury that character has.
Of course, the condition of how much blood you’ll get covered depends on the level of injury, also reflects to following cut scenes.
Kojima also talked about the theme of revenge in The Phantom Pain, explaining that everything in the game “will connect to the ‘cycle of revenge.'”
In TPP, you plan reuniting your organization to take a revenge to the world as to escape from Phantom Pain that you lost in GZ.
I let player to experience the cycle of revenge thru gameplay. What’s waiting after this as a result?
Everything incl. characters, story, game system will connect to the “cycle of revenge”.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to release on September 1 for PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
