Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Will End “28 Years” of Waiting, Says New Trailer

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to come out on September 1, and its release will bring an end to a 28-year-old mystery that has been around since the first Metal Gear game came out.

That’s what a new trailer for the upcoming stealth game revealed, at least, and it showed quite a few clips of past Metal Gear games as it did so. The 2 minute long trailer can be seen above, and although it is in Japanese, there is an option to turn English subtitles on.

Also released is a timeline that shows where The Phantom Pain‘s story fits in with the rest of the titles in the series. That can be seen below:
