A year after releasing on PlayStation 3 (here’s our review), Risen 3 is coming to PlayStation 4 tomorrow, August 21, in the form of Risen 3: Titan Lords – Enhanced Edition.
Priced at $39.99, the Enhanced Edition is a digital title in North America and Europe (there’s a limited physical release in some European countries), and will only be available on PS4.
Boasting a graphical quality level “comparable with the Ultra settings on the original PC release,” here’s what else you can expect from the Enhanced Edition:
Risen 3: Titan Lords – Enhanced Edition offers the introduction of new state of the art post-process effects such as bokeh depth-of-field and HDR bloom, and an all-new volumetric cloud system that adds even more spectacular skies and sunsets to Risen 3s dynamic day/night cycles. It includes all updates as well as additional content released to date, including the Adventure Garb, Fog Island, and Uprising of the Little Guys DLCs along with native PS4 functionality such as Remote Play, streaming, recording, and Share Play.
Project Director Björn Pankratz went on the PS Blog to add that the Enhanced Edition includes drastically reduced loading times and an all-new ultra difficulty level, “featuring even more difficult opponents as well as changes in the gameplay such as introducing additional vulnerability during evasive maneuvers or adding a cooldown on potions.”
We’ll have our review of Risen 3: Titan Lords – Enhanced Edition up soon.
