Rock Band 4 PS3/PS2 Instrument Compatibility Chart Revealed, New Songs Added to Soundtrack

Adding some more songs to the more than 60 that will be included on-disc, Harmonix revealed these new tracks today for Rock Band 4:

  • .38 Special – “Caught Up In You”
  • Arctic Monkeys – “Arabella”
  • The Both – “Milwaukee”
  • Cake – “Short Skirt/Long Jacket”
  • Little Big Town – “Little White Church”
  • Lucius – “Turn It Around”
  • The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – “The Impression That I Get”
  • The Protomen – “Light Up The Night”
  • Soundgarden – “Superunknown”
  • Tijuana Sweetheart – “Pistol Whipped”

You can see the full list of announced songs over here. You’ll also be able to access more than 1,500 additional songs through the in-game Music Store, including those you’ve already purchased.

In other game news, Harmonix announced that you’ll be able to buy the standalone Rock Band 4 game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $59.99/£49.99/€69.99. While Xbox One owners will need to buy an extra dongle to use legacy instruments, the PS4 version “supports most legacy Rock Band and third party wireless guitars and drums with no additional hardware.”

They add, “We know there are a bunch of available music peripherals absent from this list. We’re still in the works of testing and supporting as many of them as we can and will update this chart as we make progress. Thank you for your patience and understanding!”

Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak also said, “By offering game-only options and supporting seamless compatibility with previous-generation music game controllers, we’re thrilled to be offering the best value for longtime music gaming fans this holiday.”

Rock Band 4 releases worldwide on October 6 for PS4 and Xbox One.
