Japanese Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain TV Commercial is Quite Interesting

Featuring a cardboard box wedding and a DualShock 4 controller, the Japanese TV spot for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is interesting to watch. If you’re not sure what the heck is going on, here’s an explanation courtesy of Kotaku:

The bride thanks her father and Metal Gear Solid for teaching her to not give up no matter what the circumstances, for having a sense of humor, and for being kind. However, she says that she still hasn’t learned Metal Gear Solid‘s “greatest mystery.” Hearing that, the bride’s father pops out of the box and hands her a DualShock 4 controller, and tells her to solve the mystery with her husband. It all looks pretty emotional.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is out on Tuesday so stay tuned for our upcoming review. In the meanwhile, here’s all the important info about the game in one place.
