Former Square Enix Employee Seemingly Confirms Kingdom Hearts 2.9

A former Square Enix Game Designer might have confirmed the existence of Kingdom Hearts 2.9 for PlayStation 4 and PS3.

According to Richard VanDeventer’s LinkedIn profile, he worked on Kingdom Hearts 2.9 for ten months. He also worked on Kingdom Hearts III, and his profile confirms the Gummi Ship and multiplayer components.

  •  Main scenario planning for 2 worlds
  •  Various in-game dialogue writing
  •  Translation and interpretation of contact between involved English and Japanese parties including Disney and Pixar
  •  Publicity video recording and editing
  •  Communication with outsourced companies
  •  Holding meetings with Disney and Pixar
  •  Team management, meeting management and proceeding recordings

Also, interestingly enough, Square Enix has just released a teaser video of its event lineup for this year’s Tokyo Game Show, and one event in the video was simply labeled as “Secret.” It is unknown what game the event is for, or if it is connected to Kingdom Hearts 2.9, but it’s certainly possible.
