When Super Meat Boy was announced back in June for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Team Meat said it would be available at launch as a PlayStation Plus free game to thank the PlayStation fans who waited so long to play the game.
While it’s unconfirmed by Team Meat, Gematsu discovered that PlayStation’s website lists Super Meat Boy with an October 6 release date in North America, which also happens to be the day when the October 2015 PlayStation Plus free games go live.
“A tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who’s trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux,” Super Meat Boy includes over 300 levels, over 16 unlockable characters, and more.
Additionally, Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition, a text-driven visual short story set in Nebraska coming to PS4 and PS Vita, was given an October 6 release date in North America by the PlayStation website.
When formal announcements are given for the release dates of each title, we’ll let you know.
