Following the success of 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order, developer Machine Games decided to combine the two post-launch expansions and release them as Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, which came out earlier this year.
According to Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, who played Anya in The New Order, a new Wolfenstein is in the works, but it could take a couple of years.
Translated by Eurogamer, Bachleda-Curuś told Polish TV station TVN:
I’m working on a video game, first part of which I have already made. Now we’re making a second one, which will take two more years.
I played this game as a child. I was very happy when I got to the point where I could shoot Hitler.
Judging by her comment, it seems this new Wolfenstein would be a direct sequel to The New Order.
Back in 2014, Machine Games discussed the possibility of a sequel by saying, “We would love to do a sequel. We have a very, very clear idea of what we accomplished with this game, and what we want to accomplish with a sequel.”
Would you like to see a sequel to The New Order?
