Free Oddworld-Themed Content Coming to Rocket League Later This Year

Psyonix has announced that it’ll be adding free Oddworld-themed content to Rocket League later this year. The developer has yet to announce exactly what items it’ll be adding but we expect to hear more on that soon. In the meanwhile, you can check out the screenshot Psyonix shared on Twitter above.

In other Rocket League news, Psyonix’s VP of marketing and communications Jeremy Dunham said in an interview with MCV that the game selling six million copies proves that there’s an audience for “new and unusual” ideas. “You don’t always have to do a shooter, or if you’re going to do a car game it doesn’t necessarily have to be a racing game,” he said.

Dunham also revealed that Psyonix is considering a physical release of the game at some point, and is currently figuring out how to approach it and what exactly players would want in a disc version. “We want to put a lot of thought into whatever we do and give careful consideration. If we were to do it, we’d want to do it very well,” he explained.

Rocket League is currently available digitally for the PlayStation 4 and PC. For more on the game and its upcoming content click here.
