Rockstar Job Opening Points Toward “Asymmetrical Cooperative Stealth Experience”

Going through all 162 job postings on Rockstar’s Career site for openings at their New York, San Diego, Toronto, Lincoln, Leeds, London, New England, and Rockstar North studios, GamesRadar discovered that one of the positions points towards a future title potentially including coop and stealth.

Looking for a Gameplay Designer at Rockstar Toronto, one of the qualifications is: “Advanced physical and digital prototyping skills to establish the pillars of the asymmetrical cooperative stealth experience required.”

GamesRadar did a little digging and found out that particular ad was last updated in July, so it’s likely the position isn’t to work on Grand Theft Auto V, as they are focusing on GTA Online. Additionally, they couldn’t find a single mention of a Rockstar asymmetric stealth game anywhere.

Other listings mention big open worlds, character based games set in large open worlds, physics based destruction, a “deep understanding and love of car culture,” an “appreciation and understanding of fashion and street style,” and more.

Rockstar has remained mostly silent about their pipeline of games, but publisher Take-Two said in the past, “Take-Two has an extensive development pipeline of groundbreaking new intellectual properties and exciting titles from our proven franchises, along with digitally-delivered offerings to complement our core business. We currently have more than ten unique titles planned for next-generation consoles.”

For now, we’ll just have to wonder if Rockstar is working on Agent, Bully 2, Max Payne 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, or maybe a brand new IP.
