Activision “Aware” of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Issues, Developers are Working on Fixes

Even with the 7.7GB day one update, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been suffering through issues, with Eurogamer rounding up some glitches into a video.

Trying to get answers about problems users were experiencing with THPS5, while also asking if the reportedly expiring Tony Hawk license impacted the overall quality, Polygon contacted Activision and received this response:

We are aware of the issues that players have experienced following the launch of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 and are working with the developer to address these so that we can continue to improve the gameplay experience for all of the Tony Hawk fans who have known and loved this franchise for more than 16 years.

Over on Twitter, developer Robomodo said a patch is development and “[fellow developer Disruptive Games] and us are reading all feedback. Thank you.”

Addressing a couple pieces of feedback, Robomodo explained why levels aren’t very lively:

The issue was that with all the people skating around it would be hard to know who to talk to.

In our tests, rocketing around on a skateboard makes it a bit harder to know who is who.

Also, “If you’re having difficulties starting missions by the markers, hit the center pad to bring up the menu for Missions (and modes, etc).”

You can expect our review of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 soon.
