I already said my piece in my hands-on impressions of it and nothing has changed so far.
I've been playing it a lot the past few days, and while I still have questions about its depth, the amount of fun it brings to the table is top notch stuff.
I mean, if you like Battlefield and Star Wars, there's a high probability that you will like this game. If you're a Star Wars fan and you're hoping a worthy game using the license is out soon, then yep, this is it.
The sound, visuals are very immersive. There are balancing issues and again, the depth is something I can't say for sure until I've played the final game, but what's here has me excited for November 17.

I guess I'm not much of an online competitive player because I found it to be rapidly boring, very similarly to the thoughts I had about it at E3.
It's a lot of fun for a couple of matches, and the novelty of being a Star Wars game is certainly a plus, but the longer I played, the more I wished I was just playing something else, until I finally took my mind's advice and started up a different game.
The game looks fantastic and does a lot of great things though, and competitively focused players will definitely have a lot to get out of it. I guess I'm just after a different kind of carrot to keep me hooked to a game long term, and Battlefront doesn't quite have the recipe I am looking for.

After getting in a few games I can say that I love this game. Sure, it doesn't have the depth you would have liked but it's just fun to play. I also dare anyone to find me something more fun that taking on the battle of Hoth. Talk about epic!

Much like Chandler, I was completely blown away upon booting up the beta. DICE has truly nailed the look and general aesthetic of the Star Wars universe, and if you could somehow squeeze Star Wars Battlefront into a time capsule and whisk it back to '99, my tiny 7-year-old mind would have been showcasing all the symptoms of sensory overload.
But after spending a couple of hours playing as both the Rebel Alliance and nefarious Empire, I found that, as a shooter, Battlefront doesn't feel as fluid as some of the other offerings in the genre. It's still in beta stage, so perhaps I'm being a little harsh, but if there's one takeaway I found it's that Battlefront is a visual and aural delight. The gameplay? Not so much.

Star Wars Battlefront is clearly going to be an awesome Star Wars game. I have been completely blown away by the presentation in both the audio and visual departments. As a Star Wars fan I'm extremely happy with what DICE has accomplished so far, and can't wait to see the full release. With that said, I must also note that the shooting mechanics feel a little too basic for my tastes. I think the lack of any aiming down sights accuracy increase, combined with the seemingly random laser spread, lowers the skill ceiling a little too much.
