Need for Speed Beta Feedback Leading to AI Changes, Minimum Internet Connection Speed Revealed

Gathering player feedback from the Need for Speed beta earlier this month, developer Ghost Games is making some changes to the full game, releasing on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Available at launch, Ghost Games explained that progression speed and AI competitiveness have been tweaked:

The progression speed was an area some of you commented on, in particular how you felt you could quickly achieve a garage full of customized rides. The economy, both money and REP continue to be balanced and on launch you will find progression is now at a more normal pace.

A number of you mentioned the speed in which the AI drove and their competitiveness. This is also something that has been tweaked and improved upon for the full release. When you hit the streets of Ventura Bay at launch you’ll find AI competitors aren’t as propelled by rocket fuel as they were at times during the Closed Beta.

While it won’t be available at launch, the ability to mirror a design in the Wrap Editor will be added via a future content update, following numerous requests for the option.

In the Need for Speed pre-order pages, it’s revealed that the game is roughly an 18GB download, with 36GB of free space required on PS4. Additionally, since Need for Speed is an always online game, “an Internet connection speed of 192 Kbps or higher is required.”

Because Need for Speed is a “Living Game,” your feedback will shape the game’s future after launch.
