Just like Tales From the Borderlands, Telltale Games announced that the first episode of Game of Thrones, Iron From Ice, is now available to download for free on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and mobile devices. Also, as noted in our PlayStation Store sales post, the Season Pass on PS4 is now $19.99.
To go along with this news, Telltale confirmed that Game of Thrones Episode 6: The Ice Dragon will release worldwide on November 17 for consoles, PC, and mobile, bringing the season to an end.
Telltale Games CEO and Co-Founder Kevin Bruner said:
The epic conclusion to the season is the most ambitious and diversely presented episode we’ve ever produced. The fate of House Forrester has been in the hands of players all season long, and the finale will be tailored to provide a uniquely harrowing conclusion for each and every player based on the decisions they’ve made in the game thus far.
For those of you who have yet to play Game of Thrones, the Season Pass disc version of the game also launches worldwide on November 17 for PS4, PS3, XB1, and 360, with Europe getting a PC version as well. It will be priced at $29.99 USD or equivalent, but as the trailer says, “PlayStation format Season Pass disc includes Episode 1-5 of Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series on the disc plus entitlement to download Episode 6.”
The Xbox version of the disc, meanwhile, only includes Episode 1 and requires downloads of Episode 2-6.
There was no word today on the PlayStation Vita release of Game of Thrones.
