Thanks to a new report surfacing today, it appears developer Supermassive Games may have been teasing a PlayStation VR piece of DLC for Until Dawn in our recent interview with them.
According to an email Destructoid received today, which they verified and confirmed through a second source, Sony is doing market testing on a piece of Until Dawn DLC, tentatively titled Rush of Blood.
In the email, the tester says their 20 minute section was “very literally an on-rails experience” and they played through it twice – once with the DualShock 4, once with two PlayStation Move controllers. They weren’t able to see which character they were playing as, and the test content “starts off shooting targets in the snow, then moves toward a house and as you get deeper into the house, enemies start appearing (I believe they were Wendigos).”
Looking back at our interview with Supermassive Games, we asked Executive Producer Pete Samuels about PlayStation VR, where he may have teased Rush of Blood:
PlayStation VR cropped up in conversation a few times during development but no, we don’t expect that there’ll be an edition of the Until Dawn story to be playable in VR anytime soon. Not unless somebody has a sudden rush of blood!
Would you want to play Until Dawn with PSVR?
