Update:
A new trailer released today confirms Dhalsim for Street Fighter V, with Yoshinori Ono confirming the February 16, 2016 release date for SFV and six fighters coming in 2016.
Original Story:
At Paris Games Week today, Capcom announced that Street Fighter V is releasing on February 16, 2016 in North America and Europe, according to a now deleted post by Eurogamer Portugal discovered by Gematsu.
In the post, Eurogamer says Dhalsim is a confirmed fighter and will be playable on the show floor to all members. Previously, Dhalsim was leaked through datamining during the most recent beta.
Additionally, 16 fighters will launch with Street Fighter V, and six more will be added throughout 2016. Back in July, Capcom said, “All post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game.”
This is thanks to Fight Money, but if you want, Zenny can be purchased with real money:
Fight Money
Basic currency that players earn through playing the game. Once players accumulate enough Fight Money, they can use it to earn new post-launch gameplay content, such as characters, for free!
Zenny
Premium currency that players can purchase with real money to immediately gain access to post-launch content.
We’ll let you know when Capcom makes an official announcement about the release date.
