Mortal Kombat X Is Still the #1 Game of 2015 so Far in the US, Warner Bros Is the Top Publisher

In Time Warner’s earnings release today, they announced that Warner Bros saw revenues increase 15% to $3.2 billion, with the video games division primarily helped out by the releases of LEGO Dimensions and Mad Max, as well as continued sales for Mortal Kombat X and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Along with Warner Bros being the top publisher in the United States for the first nine months of 2015, Time Warner also revealed that Mortal Kombat X is still the #1 video game of 2015 in the US, as of September 2015, even without the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Previously, it was reported that sales of both Mortal Kombat X and Batman: Arkham Knight were over five million, with LEGO Jurassic World over four million.

Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes added:

We had another very good quarter, with Revenues up 5% and strong growth in Adjusted Operating Income, which totaled $1.8 billion. Our revenue growth was led by Warner Bros. and Home Box Office, and illustrated how our investments in great content have been paying off in our traditional television businesses, as well as in newer areas such as video games.

Do you think Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will dethrone MKX when it launches this Friday?
