Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Set to Run at 1080p/60fps on PS4, 1080p/30fps on Xbox One

Following an announcement early last week, more information is beginning to surface regarding the current-gen port of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Torn Banner Studios’ online action title.

Due to launch across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early December, Studio President Steve Piggott has revealed that Medieval Warfare will run at 1080p/60fps on PS4, while the Xbox One version has been locked at 1080p/30fps by comparison.

According to Piggott, development of the current-gen versions was handled by Hardsuit Labs, and the architecture of each console allowed the studio to double the max player count of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

The primary difference users can experience between the PS3 and X360 versions and the new PS4 and Xbox One versions are a doubling of the max player count (from 12 to 24), as well as dedicated servers. This means that the game will run substantially better, battles will be more intense with more warriors involved and host-migration and poor connection quality no longer stand in your way of glory in the battle.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare will make its bow on Xbox One first come December 1, before making the jump to PlayStation 4 one day later on December 2.
