Randy Pitchford took the stage at PlayStation Experience 2015 today, announcing that the open beta is coming soon, with PlayStation 4 owners getting exclusive early access to that beta.
In the trailer today, Gearbox showed off Toby, a new character that will be playable in the PS4 open beta.
As an added bonus, if you participate in the beta, you’ll receive an additional character for free after launch, exclusively on PS4. Gearbox will begin working on the character once Battleborn is complete.
Looking at the full game, Battleborn includes a campaign with couch co-op.
Battleborn launches on May 3rd, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
