After announcing the Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition on Saturday, Techland confirmed that The Following DLC for Dying Light will also release on February 9, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
On top of this, all current owners of Dying Light will receive access to all the upgrades in the Enhanced Edition on February 9, 2016.
Lead Game Designer Maciej Binkowski said:
We didn’t want to follow a beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on. That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, Dying Light will be even bigger.
Here’s the full list of enhancements coming to Dying Light:
- Legend System
- Nightmare Difficulty
- Bounties System
- New Parkour Moves
- New Enemy Attacks & Behaviors
- #DrinkForDLC Content
- New NPC Models
- Enhanced Facial Expressions
- Improved Human Enemy AI
- Improved Volatile AI
- Greater Firearm Variety
- HUD and Video Filter Customizations
- Audio Upgrades Gameplay
- Quality Improvement
- Console Performance Upgrades
- Overall Game Look and Feel Improvements
On Twitter, the offical Dying Light account said The Following’s map is “bigger than the two maps in Dying Light combined.”
