Dirt Rally game designer, Darren Hayward, confirmed on Twitter that the game will be targeting 60fps on PlayStation 4. As for the resolution, it isn’t yet clear what the hardware can handle, with Darren simply stating, “High as we can get with 60fps.”
No doubt racing fans will be happy to hear that a smooth frame-rate is being prioritized over sharper visuals, especially with how precise a player’s driving has to be in a Dirt game.
@superTurk00 Unsure yet. High as we can get it with 60fps.

How high a resolution will be achieved? We don’t yet know. Though it is worth remembering that Project CARS managed to achieve both 60fps and 1080p, without holding back on the impressive visual effects.
We won’t have to wait too long to find out what specs Darren and the other developers decide upon, as Dirt Rally is scheduled to release April 5, 2016 on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
