When Sega announced Yakuza 0 for a Western release at PlayStation Experience this month, they said, “Yakuza 0 will be localized and released physically and digitally for PS4 in the Americas. Stay tuned for more news soon!”
While they didn’t reveal a release window at the time, the US PlayStation site lists Yakuza 0 for 2017, suggesting those in the Americas won’t get it until roughly two years after the Japanese launch.
If you’re wondering about a European release for Yakuza 0, Sega said they’re unable to confirm it:
We know the Yakuza series is loved by all its fans in Europe but unfortunately at this time we’re not able to confirm a Yakuza 0 EU release.

When people questioned the fact that the trailer for Yakuza 0 said, “Coming to North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 system,” Sega told Eurogamer, “Right now, we’re only confirming for NA. The ‘NA&EU’ endslate was from an incorrect version of the trailer.”
As more news about the Western release of Yakuza 0 is revealed, we’ll let you know.
Would you be willing to wait until 2017 for Yakuza 0?
