Japanese Sales Chart: PS Vita Outsells PS4, Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs-Force Is the #1 New Release

In the final full week of 2015, hardware sales were up for nearly every platform, with the 3DS and Wii U finishing in 1st and 2nd again, each finishing over 100,000 units. As for PlayStation platforms, the PS Vita rose by 20,000 units week-over-week to outsell the PS4.

Looking at software, the #1 new release was Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs-Force for Vita, which Bandai Namco recently confirmed for a 2016 launch in North America and Europe.

Since the Media Create report is delayed again, here’s how each system sold (3DS numbers are combined), along with the top 20 selling retail games in Japan from December 21 – December 27, 2015, according to Famitsu:
