Marvel Games has announced that its latest project, the Marvel Battlegrounds play set, will be coming to Disney Infinity 3.0 on March 15.
A four-player, arcade-style brawler, Marvel Battlegrounds allows you to battle up to three friends locally. It’ll come with twelve levels across eight new arenas including Knowhere and Wakanda. Calling it the “largest selection of playable characters,” Marvel announced that players will be able to battle as any playable Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition): Marvel Super Heroes figure. We’re also told that the Disney Infinity team has been listening to player feedback and that Marvel Battlegrounds will come with the play set piece and one figure; Captain America – The First Avenger. “Now it’s up to you to decide which other Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains you want to fight with in Marvel Battlegrounds from a selection of 25 characters and with more to join the roster soon!” said the developer.
Pre-orders are now live, and those who do will receive a free Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition): Marvel Super Heroes figure of their choice from participating retailers. Further details will be announced soon.
