Cam's PS2 to PS4
The Bouncer
This one probably isn't the most popular choice, since it wasn't that well received, but The Bouncer had that nice combination of fun, beat-em-up gameplay, with some enjoyable characters and story.
Bully
It took me awhile to finally try this but I was glad when I finally did. There is something genuinely fun about working your way up through the ranks at Bullworth Academy.
Chaos Legion
It's a hack n slash in the vein of Drakengard and while it's not perfect, I enjoyed the art style, characters, and sometimes it's just fun to beat the crap out of things.
Darkwatch
Darkwatch mixes western, horror and steampunk into a FPS shooter that just works. Plus, your character is named Jericho Cross and that has to count for something!
Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII
Highlighting possibly the coolest and best character in FFVII not named Cloud or Sephiroth. Dirge of Cerberus was a third-person shooter featuring Vincent Valentine.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
It's a Level-5 title, so you know that the game was well made. Featuring a vibrant world and cast of characters, this is an RPG everyone should play again.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly
Honestly not sure I want to play this again (big baby here), but this is one hell of a game. Dark, creepy, and well told, this game will keep you on your toes.
Freedom Fighters
Channeling your inner most Patrick Swayze from Red Dawn , Freedom Fighters has players trying to take back New York from the clutches of the Soviet Union.
Front Mission 4
I am usually not much for mech games, but Front Mission 4 was a nice blend of mech and strategy RPG that really got me excited.
Grandia III
Set in a world where people fly in magic-powered aircraft, Grandia III featured an excellent combat system and the ability to fly a plane from place to place.
Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup
Ok, so it wasn't a great game or really all that good of a game, but it's Harry Potter and it's Quidditch.
Hot Shots Golf Fore!
Hot Shots Golf Fore! is a continuation of an already fun series, with new features like miniature golf and online play. The game also saw increases in characters, caddies, and courses.
La Pucelle Tactics
La Pucelle Tactics is a tactical RPG from Nippon Ichi Software. Players take on the role of demon hunters named Prier and her brother Culotte.
The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
The lore and characters of Lord of the Rings , combined with exploration and turn-based gameplay.
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
A year before Just Cause released, we were given Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction . As the name implies, you are mercenaries and you are causing all sorts of destruction. Enough said.
NHL Hitz Pro
For more people out there, Hockey is all about hitting and fighting, so why not play a game that is all about those two things. NHL Hitz Pro is fast-paced, in your face brutality on skates.
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Sandwiched in between two rather lackluster games, Shadow Hearts: Covenant is an RPG that really surprised me. Taking place during World War I, the game has a very real and gritty feel to a fantasy RPG.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
Living in the shadow of Persona 4 somewhat, Persona 3 is an excellent game that I would love to dive back into, especially with some trophy love.
Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity
Heath will probably give me crap for this inclusion, but Stella Deus was probably my favorite SRPG on the PS2, and that's saying a lot.
Suikoden III
I think everyone by now knows about my love for this series and game in particular. Please give me another reason to dive into this amazing game and earn some trophies!
Suikoden V
I sometimes forget about Suikoden V , with other games in the series getting most of my attention and that's a shame. It is really a very solid RPG and one worth playing again.
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of the Abyss tops my chart as the best Tales game yet, slightly beating out Symphonia .
Wild Arms 3
Really underrated series and game in my opinion. Great setting, characters, and combat make Wild Arms 3 a must play title.
X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
Rounding out my list is a series I really want to make a comeback. Four player multiplayer and tons of characters make this a must.
