Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji recently returned for the first Active Time Report of 2016, which reveals a new character, gameplay footage, details on the previously announced release date event, and more.
The new character is Aranea Highwind, commander of Niflheim’s Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division. We’re told that she’s a “skilled aerial combatant, known as ‘Dragoon’ within the Imperial military.” Square Enix also released some high-res screenshots following the ATR, which you can check out below (click to enlarge/open in new page).
We were previously told that Final Fantasy XV‘s release date will be announced in March. Square Enix has now said that the event will be called Final Fantasy Uncovered and will take place in Los Angeles on March 30 at 7PM PT. There will be some announcements and surprises at the event, which will be open to public and fans in the US and will be hosted by Greg Miller.
