Bandai Namco has posted a lengthy look upcoming Vita/PS4 robot smashathon Gundam Breaker 3. This looks to be quite the hat-tip collectors of the actual plastic models (or “Gunpla”), as the figures which battle each other in Breaker 3 even show original boxes in non-combat menus. I don’t have a big Gundam collection myself (and the one I have came pre-assembled…and is in storage…because I don’t have enough shelves. I am a sad man), so I can only assume those boxes are authentic; if there’s a collector in the audience, please let the rest of us know the legitimacy of the boxes shown around the 2:13 mark of this video.
We then see a sample of the mix-and-match capabilities of the plastic models you’ll be — as the name would indicate — breaking. As you can see, the amount of customization is pretty crazy, even allowing players to adjust how aged the paint job looks. Yeah.
Gundam Breaker 3 arrives in Japanese shops on March 3, while the western world is awaiting announcement. We previously posted some screenshots here.
