Responding to all the questions from fans, NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon revealed that all four characters inside Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat XL will release on March 1.
This means anyone who purchases Kombat Pack 2 or Mortal Kombat XL on March 1 in North America or March 4 in Europe will receive access to the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies, Triborg, and Bo’Rai Cho on day one.
You’ll be able to buy Kombat Pack 2 for $19.99 on its own, with Mortal Kombat XL priced at $59.99. A DLC pack containing Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2 will be available for $24.99.
Although the Mortal Kombat XL trailer says the new edition includes “all additional characters and skin packs,” NetherRealm revealed that you’ll have to pre-order the game to receive the Cosplay skins. “Just pre-order XL and the Cosplay skins are free!” they said.
