Madden NFL 16 Simulation Crowns Carolina Panthers Winners of Super Bowl 50

In keeping with the publisher’s yearly tradition, EA Sports has hosted a Super Bowl simulation via Madden NFL 16, with the results predicting Carolina Panthers as the winners of Sunday’s sporting showdown.

According to the video, Carolina comes out on top by the score of 24-20, with the simulation claiming that the Panthers will fend off a valiant comeback by the Denver Broncos, who were trailing 17 points at the half. Alas, it wasn’t enough to pull the scores level, and the Carolina Panthers took home the trophy.

But will EA’s simulation prove correct once again? As the publisher notes, the yearly simulation has accurately predicted the winner nine times out of the last twelve games. That’s impressive in and of itself, but it was last year’s tussle between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks that proved eerily accurate, with the Madden simulation predicting the final score as well as the decisive pass from Tom Brady to Julian Edelman.

Super Bowl 2016 is slated to take place on Sunday, February 7. Can EA’s Madden simulation make it two years on the trot?
