Doom Releases on May 13, Collector’s Edition Includes Revenant Statue

Doom is releasing worldwide on Friday, May 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Bethesda and id Software announced today.

In addition to the standard edition, you have the option of purchasing a DOOM Collector’s Edition for $119.99 (USD)/€129.99/£99.99. It includes a copy of the game packaged in an exclusive metal case and an exclusive, fully-realized 12” tall collector’s statue of the Revenant. Modeled from in-game files, the Revenant stands on an LED-lit base with internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars.

By pre-ordering the standard edition or collector’s edition you’ll receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack. This includes a unique demon armor set with three skin variations, six metallic paint colors and three id logo patterns for weapons and armor, and a set of six Hack Modules, which Bethesda says are one-time consumable items that can give you an edge in a multiplayer match.

Bethesda talked about Doom’s single-player campaign:

As the iconic DOOM Marine, you wake to learn that the Union Aerospace Corporation’s facility on Mars has been decimated and overrun by hordes of demons. Humanity’s survival rests in your hands – and your hands alone. Fight Like Hell.

In DOOM’s campaign, there is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways.

You’ll also find competitive multiplayer and the SnapMap game editor in Doom.
