Destiny Spring Update Will Include Significant Light Increase, New Gear, New Challenges

With the February update now available, Bungie looked ahead to the future of Destiny in their latest This Week at Bungie, previewing the much larger update scheduled for this spring:

That content release will feature a significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability.

They later added, “As work wraps up in the weeks ahead, look for more details about the Spring content, as well as more information about our bigger projects in the months that follow.”

Bungie also briefly addressed the recent announcement of a “large new expansion” coming to Destiny in 2016, with a full sequel coming in 2017. “Beyond [the spring update], the team is focused on delivering a large expansion later this year, and a full Destiny sequel in 2017,” they said.

As for the Crimson Days event, it will be available until Tuesday, February 16, at 1am PT/4am ET. Once Crimson Days is over, Crimson Candy will be converted into Rotten Candy.

What do you think Bungie will be adding with this year’s expansion?
