Postal Redux Coming to PS4 & PC in 2016

From Running With Scissors, developers of the Postal franchise, comes Postal Redux, a remake of the twin-stick shooter. Set for release on Steam in spring 2016, it will come to PlayStation 4 “later in the year,” marking the first time the franchise has appeared on console.

Maintaining the elements that made the original popular, while also recreating the art style, ambiance, demonic voice, and marching band, Postal Redux adds Rampage Mode. This single-player mode is based around a scoring system and sees your multiplier increasing for each consecutive kill in a streak. A grade will then be given out at the end of each level.

Here’s the description for Postal Redux:

In POSTAL Redux, players take control of The POSTAL Dude as he battles to survive in a world gone MAD. Crazed gunmen are out for blood and wait around every corner. Players fight back with a destructive arsenal as they make their way through a kill-or-be-killed psychological thriller.

Running With Scissors Founder Vince Desi said, “Even with all the noise surrounding POSTAL, gamers focused on the experience, playing the game by the millions, giving it great user reviews and helping us not only survive, but flourish. POSTAL Redux is a love letter to our fans.”

As the Steam page points out, there will be 17 levels in the classic campaign, nine weapons, and a wide range of enemies.
