Open-World Snowboarding Game Infinite Air Coming to PS4, Xbox One & PC in Fall 2016

Set for release in fall 2016, Maximum Games and HB Studios (The Golf Club) announced today that Infinite Air featuring Mark McMorris is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

An open-world, physics-based snowboarding game, Infinite Air features procedurally-generated mountain ranges, an editor that lets you build and share custom courses, and a highly reactive control system, with Maximum Games promising it “to be the most authentic snowboarding game to date.”

The description adds:

With the ability to sculpt terrain in an endless backcountry, publish your best runs, participate in Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Big Air competitions, and challenge friends online, Infinite Air combines the exciting social aspects of snowboarding with the exhilaration of a hyper-realistic experience on the snow. Infused with the riding style of Mark McMorris, and featuring the top athlete as a playable character in the game, Infinite Air will focus on real world physics to give players a genuine taste of the sport.

HB Studios Executive Producer Peter Garcin said, “The fascinating thing about video games is that they open up possibilities that wouldn’t be an option in real life, and Infinite Air is the ultimate example of that. We’d all love to snowboard like Mark, and now with this game, we all can.”
