Today, Jackbox Games announced that Drawful 2 and The Jackbox Party Pack 3 are coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/Mac this year.
Drawful 2, which arrives in spring 2016, will allow you to use two colors and the audience will be able to play along and affect the score of the game, but there won’t be an eraser for drawings. “No,” they said about an eraser. “Get it right the first time. Or don’t. It’s probably funnier if you don’t.”
Here’s the description:
Drawful 2 is the follow-up to Drawful, the hit game in which players are prompted to draw weird, funny and sometimes borderline impossible things on their smartphones or tablets. The sequel will boast more colors and enhanced streaming tools, including an audience mode for up to 10,000 spectators to play along and influence a game’s outcome, as well as the ability to censor answers and drawings from trolls and other generally terrible human beings.
The Jackbox Party Pack 3 will then arrive in fall 2016. Jackbox Games didn’t reveal the five included party games today (mainly because they haven’t fully decided on them yet), but they were able to say, “There are some brand new, never-before-seen games.” Additionally, “We aren’t going to put Drawful 2 (coming Spring 2016) in the pack and annoy everyone who bought it as a stand-alone game.”
Jackbox Games CEO Mike Bilder said, “How do we keep coming up with these packs of five new hit party games? I don’t know, I’m just the CEO. My employees do all the work. Love the games they make, though. What are we doing for lunch?”
