Towards the end of the Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary SXSW panel, PR & Social Media Manager Aaron Webber hyped up the audience, and Sonic fans everywhere, by hinting that a new Sonic game could be revealed during the franchise’s 25th anniversary party.
“If you are looking forward to a game announcement, I’m not saying there’s going to be a game announcement at this party but you should totally come to this party,” he said, towards the end of the 45-minute long panel.
Sounds to me like there’s going to be a game announcement at the party.
The party, and potential announcement, will take place on July 22, 2016 at the House of Blues in San Diego.
If you manage to crash it, you’ll see first-hand that the party features live performances from Crush 40, famed Sonic music creators.
Not feeling up to crashing a Sonic party? Well you can always buy tickets instead.
