After announcing earlier this week that the Awakening DLC pack is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PlayStation 3 on April 5, Activision has updated their support site to say it’s the only post-launch DLC planned for the system.
In the updated Black Ops 3 FAQ for PS3 and Xbox 360, Activision says there won’t be a Season Pass on PS3 and the only way to purchase Awakening is on its own for $14.99. They then answered a couple of questions, confirming that there aren’t any plans for further DLC:
Will any future DLC map packs come out for PlayStation 3?
We do not have plans for any DLC to follow Awakening on PlayStation 3.
Is this the end of Zombies content on PlayStation 3, with no continuation of the story?
Yes, there are no plans for future DLC content on PlayStation 3.
It still remains to be seen when Xbox 360 owners will be able to buy Awakening.
In other Black Ops 3 news this week, a double XP event starts tomorrow on all platforms, the Awakening DLC gets a free trial on PlayStation 4 this weekend, and the second DLC pack comes to PS4 on April 19.
