Extended No Man’s Sky Gameplay Demo Showcases Exploration, Trading and Lore

Hello Games’ sprawling space simulator No Man’s Sky is the cover star for IGN First feature for April, with a range of new content expected to be released in anticipation of the game’s arrival in June.

Kicking things off today was an extended, 20-minute gameplay demo for the studio’s sci-fi title, where Sean Murray showcased a handful of different features including trading, exploration and the lore underpinning No Man’s Sky

In order to parse that alien lore you’ll need to decipher different languages piece by piece, as illustrated by Murray in the presentation, eventually opening up different trading perks later in the game. There’s also new information relating to planets, space vessels and interacting with other players — should you ever cross paths with one, that is.

No Man’s Sky will launch for PlayStation 4 on June 21. In related news, the game’s soundtrack, No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe, is available to pre-order ahead of a release on June 17.
