Early Copies of Uncharted 4 Sold to Consumers, Naughty Dog Warns of Leaks

As you may recall, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was supposed to release today, April 26, before Sony and Naughty Dog delayed it to May 10 “to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one.” It appears some retailers didn’t hear about the delay, as early copies have made their way into the hands of consumers.

With reports suggesting that Amazon Germany and Amazon US sent out early copies, and select retail stores in the UK have Uncharted 4 available to purchase, VideoGamer spoke with someone who bought the game early. According to him, multiplayer isn’t available yet and is greyed out on the main menu, Trophies aren’t syncing to Sony’s servers, the Trophy list isn’t available to view, and the multiplayer DLC code included with the Day One Edition isn’t working yet.

Following these early copies going out, Creative Director Neil Druckmann went on Twitter to say, “Uncharted 4 is just two weeks away! As we get closer it’ll get harder and harder to control leaks. Stay vigilant. Big surprises in store.”

Naughty Dog teased last week that “what we will be revealing soon after PAX East will please a lot of people.” Stay tuned for the reveal when it happens.

Will you be avoiding the internet for the next two weeks?
