Hello Games has outlined gameplay systems, touted the unbridled exploration and shed light on the game’s artwork — but for its latest No Man’s Sky showcase, the developer turns its attention to the story.
Hosted by Studio Founder Sean Murray, the snippet introduces two of the writers that helped flesh out the lore underpinning this most ambitious universe: Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Kingsman: The Secret Service) and James Swallow (Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Star Trek).
Writing on PlayStation Blog, Murray heaped praise on Gibbons and Swallow, before highlighting what both scribes brought to the table. Said he: “We all share a deep love of sci-fi, so for them to create their own tales in our universe – and to share their knowledge and help us develop some of the nitty gritty of the lore at the same time – felt like the perfect collaboration.”
No Man’s Sky shoots for PS4 on June 21.
