16-Bit Mini Game Dead Island Retro Revenge Debuts Old-School Trailer

Included as part of this month’s Dead Island: Definitive Collection, Deep Silver has premiered the first footage of Dead Island Retro Revenge, a 16-bit mini game that has you fending off the undead in search of your missing cat. 

Available across digital and select retailers, it’s understood Deep Silver plans to release Retro Revenge as a standalone title some time after the Definitive Collection launches later this month. Then, it’ll be priced at $4.99. 

Promising an experiencer “chock full of awesome enemies, sick combos, and enough challenges to send all you hardcore types crying home to mama.” Here’s the official synopsis for Retro Revenge

Hell-bent on saving his cat, Max must carve a bloody path through a zombie-infested California, tearing his way through hordes of the undead, battalions of corrupt soldiers, and a slew of evil-minded ex-cons. Pull off crazy combos, collect power-ups, wield super weapons, and unleash insane magic attacks as you fight to become the amazing 16-bit side-scrolling hero you’ve always believed yourself to be!

Look for Dead Island: Definitive Collection to shuffle onto PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 31.
