Electronic Arts has posted its full year earnings report for the period ending March 31, 2016.
Heralding a “phenomenal” year for the publisher, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson went on to reveal that DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront shipped a total of 14 million copies during the fiscal year. In addition, Battlefront is said to have expanded the company’s player base by 15 percent.
This, coupled with the release of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, EA Sports UFC 2 and ColdWood Interactive’s Unravel pushed revenue to $924 million in the last quarter.
Per EA:
“FY16 was a phenomenal year for Electronic Arts as we connected hundreds of millions of players to great new games, and helped them connect with each other through rich and dynamic live services. The year ahead is packed with excitement. Fans are thrilled with the intense action and epic scale of Battlefield 1, our EA SPORTS titles will take major leaps in innovation, and we’ll bring new experiences from our most popular brands to more players on more devices.”
Moreover, EA capped off the financial post with an infographic detailing a number of statistics relating to its key genre flagships.
