It appears that an E3 2016 trailer for Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr has leaked out ahead of the event. The video above, which was found on French publication JeuxVideo’s Dailymotion channel, looks like it was intended to be unveiled during the PC Gaming Show on June 13, as suggested by its URL and description. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting video that’s worth watching.
Narrated by the main character, Jonathan Reid, the trailer gives us a glimpse of the game’s dark premise. A flu epidemic has killed thousands in London and science has failed humanity. People are struggling and in despair while Reid’s world changes overnight as there’s a strange hunger inside of him that needs to be appeased.
I have few allies, and even fewer options. It’s a war, and I have to fight to survive. My life has become a waking nightmare. I did not choose the thing I’ve become, but I can choose the lives I take.
Vampyr will release sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
