E3 2016 – Respawn Confirms All Titanfall 2 Maps and Modes Will Be Free Post Launch

Excited for Titanfall 2 after what we’ve seen? Well, this news might make you just a wee bit more hyped for it. At yesterday’s EA Play event in London, Respawn Entertainment Head of Development David Wrightman confirmed that ALL map packs and new modes for Titanfall 2 will be released for free!

We’ll definitely be supporting Titanfall 2 post-launch, and I can confirm all maps and modes we deliver post-launch will be free. We’ll be talking more about post-launch plans closer to release so stay tuned for more info.

While this is certainly good news, it begs the question: what will Respawn release as paid DLC? Wrightman couldn’t go into details, but did stress that there won’t be any “pay-to-win” stuff, which is certainly good news. 

My take? I predict and assume that the paid Titanfall 2 DLC will consist mostly of cosmetic items for your titan or pilot. If this is the case, then I’m all for it. Better than giving some players an edge just because they can spend more, right?
