Designed for the recently announced PlayStation VR exclusive Farpoint, the PlayStation VR Aim Controller “offers the most realistic and precise way to control our game,” Seth Luisi of developer Impulse Gear explained.
Developed by both Sony Interactive Entertainment and Impulse Gear, the PS VR Aim Controller promises direct 1:1 tracking, allowing you to aim in Farpoint just as you would in real life:
How you hold and where you point the controller are directly matched in the game. This allows you to do things in Farpoint that just are not possible in a standard FPS game. It also provides an unbelievable sense of presence in the virtual world.
No release date or price was given for either the PS VR Aim Controller or Farpoint, but we should hear more about Farpoint “soon.”
PlayStation VR itself releases on October 13.
What do you think of the Aim Controller? How much do you think it should cost?
