Destiny Hot Fix Update Today Fixes PS4 & Xbox One Issues, Trials of Osiris Should be Back Tomorrow

In the new Destiny hot fix (update version 2.3.0.1) released earlier today, Bungie addressed some of the problems players were experiencing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As a result, Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner will return to their regular schedule.

Here’s the technical fixes they applied:

  • Fixed an issue that could occur when inspecting activities being played by a large number of friends
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent matchmaking into an activity that was being played by a large number of friends

As Bungie explained on their website, the June Update introduced a new feature to help you find your friends in the activities you want to play. While the early feedback has been positive, “it was creating problems for the really popular people among us who have lots of friends.”

So, with today’s hot fix, the Players In Activity feature will now cap the display at a maximum of ten friends.

Provided there’s no new hiccups, Trials of Osiris will return tomorrow, and Iron Banner should return next week.

Looking a little further ahead, on July 7, Bungie Day, Bungie will “celebrate your achievements and your creations, and we’ll tell you how you can get in on that action when the day arrives.”

As for Rise of Iron, which launches on September 20, Bungie will give out lots of details throughout the summer. “Rather than trickle out one new detail each week here on the blog,” they said, “we’ll save them up for some appropriately explosive moments throughout the summer.”
